I help Year 10–12 students get on top of Maths Methods, Specialist, Physics and Chemistry. One-on-one, at a pace that suits them, in person across Brisbane's northside or online.
Tutoring students from Ashgrove, Arana Hills, Ferny Hills, Keperra, Mitchelton, Enoggera, Bardon, Paddington and across the northside
No sign-up packages and no pressure. We start with a conversation and go from there.
We talk about where your child is at, which subjects are giving them trouble, and what they're aiming for.
I work out where the gaps are, whether it's a topic, exam technique or just confidence, and we make a plan together.
We work through the plan around their school assessment, and I keep you updated on how they're going.
Senior subjects where understanding the ideas matters more than memorising steps.
The subject I'm asked about most. Whether it's filling in gaps from Year 10 or tackling the hardest Specialist questions, we go at the pace your child needs.
Senior science needs both the concepts and the exam skills. I'm strongest in Physics and Chemistry, which are great for students heading toward STEM.
I study economics at uni, so I can link the theory to what's happening in the real world and help students write clear, well-structured exam answers.
There's no set program. Before we start, I want to understand where your child is, what's holding them back and what they want to achieve.
Sessions are focused but relaxed. Students should feel comfortable asking the "silly" questions, because that's usually where the breakthrough is. As the term goes on, I adjust what we cover and keep you in the loop.
Sessions run in person across Brisbane's northside, or online via Zoom if that's easier for your family.

We've seen a real improvement in both his understanding and confidence since working with Ben. He is patient, reliable and always generous with his time. Most importantly, he genuinely cares about the students he works with. We are really grateful for all his help and couldn't recommend him more highly."
"Ben has been a good support for my son with Maths Methods, helping him better understand the work, revise key concepts and identify areas that need more attention. He has also offered helpful advice about further study after school. Ben is friendly, approachable and easy to communicate with, and gives me feedback about how my son is going. I'd happily recommend him to anyone looking for a supportive and knowledgeable tutor."
I finished at Marist College Ashgrove in 2023 with a 99.25 ATAR, so I know exactly what senior school feels like right now: the internal assessments, the exam pressure, and how quickly a subject can get away from you.
I'm now studying a Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours) at UQ. I've also coached junior soccer and tutor second-year students at my college. The best part of tutoring is when a topic that's been frustrating someone for weeks finally clicks.
I tutor boys and girls from state and private schools across the northside, and every student gets the same attention whether they're chasing a top ATAR or just want to feel less stressed about maths.
If you're looking for a maths tutor in Ashgrove, I work one-on-one with Year 10 to 12 students on Mathematical Methods and Specialist Maths, in person or online. I tutor students from a range of local schools, and every session is built around the individual student, their school's assessment and where they're actually at.
I also tutor senior students across Brisbane's northside and beyond, including Arana Hills, Ferny Hills, Keperra, Mitchelton, Enoggera, Bardon and Paddington, in Maths, Sciences and Economics. Sessions are available in person around the northside, or online via Zoom for families anywhere in Brisbane.
One rate, no packages to buy upfront. We start with a free chat to make sure I'm the right fit.
We have a relaxed conversation about your child's subjects, what's going well, what isn't, and what they're aiming for. There's no obligation to book anything afterwards.
